David A. Navidad-Parra was born on July 11, 1995. He was a 2013 graduate of the Trevor G. Brown High School in Phoenix, and the first member of his family to graduate college and serve in the military. Following graduation from West Point in 2018, he went on to complete the Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course and serve in Fort Hood, Texas. David died on December 16, 2022 from a fatal shooting.

Friends and family described David as a great friend, a role model, and a man of great honor, kindness, and immeasurable compassion. Dedicated to fitness, mentorship, his marriage, and his country, David “loved to work out and always pushed everyone to do better.”
