SGT Jacob A. Teets
Sgt. Jacob A. Teets, 22, of Pulaski Township, presently based at Ft. Drum, Watertown, N.Y, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009, in Kingston, Ontario.
He was born Feb. 23, 1987, in Brighton Township, a son of Scott A. Teets, Daugherty Township, and Teresa R. Fuller Teets, Pulaski Township, and her fiance, Len Dougalewicz, Pulaski Township. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army serving as a combat engineer. He was previously stationed in Bagdad, Iraq and Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Texas. He received his basic training at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. He was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester. He was a 2005 graduate of New Brighton High School, where he participated in field and track and cross country. Jacob played baseball with the New Brighton Area Baseball League and was a member of the Unionville American Legion.
