Remembering Timmy R. Brown.
PFC Timothy R. Brown Jr. of Conway, Pennsylvania served in the U.S. Army and was assigned to D Company, 519th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Friends remembered him as a prankster with a quick sense of humor; one recalled that he enlisted on April 1, 2001, partly to surprise his high school friends.
He went on to serve in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. On August 12, 2003, PFC Brown was killed when an explosive device struck his convoy near Taji, Iraq. Steel Hearts is preserving this draft memorial record while final family and partner details are confirmed.
