Their Story

Remembering Timothy Reid.

Sergeant First Class Timothy "Tim" Dallas Reid served his country for thirteen years, and in that time he became exactly the kind of soldier young troops hoped to follow. Born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1987, Tim rose through the ranks of the 1st Cavalry Division's 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team as a Cavalry Scout and, ultimately, a Bradley Master Gunner, a distinction few ever earn.

Stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, he was known for leading by example and mentoring his fellow soldiers with equal parts tough love, wisdom, and a smile that lit up any room. He was proud enough of his uniform to be chosen to represent the Army in its 250th birthday celebration in Washington, D.C. Away from duty, Tim loved the outdoors and crafted handmade wooden flags still displayed in homes today.

A devoted husband and father of four, he leaves a legacy of loyalty, strength, and service.
