Remembering Blaine R. Kindler.
ENS Blaine R. Kindler was lost on December 11th, 1999.
ENS Kindler had a love for the outdoors, playing football and spending time with family and friends. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 409, member of John XXIII Catholic Community Church, a member of the National Honor Society, Youth and Government and played football at Eldorado. He received many football honors while he played for Bill Gentry's Eagles.
In 1995, Blaine graduated from Eldorado High School with honors and entered the Naval Academy. ENS Kindler was a standout football player while at Navy, exemplified in his senior season by being chosen as a pre-season Hula Bowl selection and being named an All East candidate. He graduated in 1999 with a degree in Ocean Engineering and commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer.
